Towards a more sustainable aviation

Aviation worldwide is responsible for 2.4% of anthropogenic CO2 emissions, and it is extremely important to reduce these levels, since, according to experts in the field, air transport is expected to grow at a rate of approximately 4.3% per year. Currently the covid-19 pandemic has forced to stop flights, however, its demand will eventually return, and with it, the emission of pollutants.

La aviación a nivel mundial es responsable del 2.4% de las emisiones antropogénicas de CO2, y es sumamente importante reducir esos niveles, pues, de acuerdo con expertos en la materia, se espera que el transporte aéreo crezca a un ritmo de aproximadamente 4.3% anual. Actualmente la pandemia de covid-19 ha obligado a parar los vuelos, sin embargo, su demanda regresará eventualmente, y con ella, la emisión de contaminantes.
